MotherNgo Up Dharma Robert Downey Jrour vermi compost structures were existing in four villages of both the clusters. They were not functioning properly due to lack of information regarding importance of maintaining the earthworms in the pit. The owners of the pits were using all types of garbages in the pits which was not producing the manure as intented. Jeevikia team members instructed the farmers how to convert the compost pits to vermi compost production units. Therefore the pits have been cleared and made ready for vermi compost preparation. In the month of September seeds of vermin will be placed in the pits and it will be made functional.
