Expected Change:

  • Practicing profitable organic cultivation
  • Using traditional or certified seeds
  • Women farmers establish an identity as farmers
  • Youths (both boys and girls) adopt agriculture as a profitable means of livelihood
  • Cultivation of food crops in more than half of their land
  • Submit applications for work under MGNREGA
  • File applications under Right To Information (RTI) Act
  • Women to participate and are involved in decision making in Panchayat Raj Institutions (PRI)
  • Reduction of emigration due to greater local resources

Expected Change:

  • Formation and strengthening of Community Based & Managed Organizations (CBMOs)
  • Linking CBMOs and community with government institutions and structures
  • Developing value based leadership
  • Working on a Result Based Management approach

Implementation Strategy:

Phase-out strategy: A strategy where organizations decrease involvement and hand over responsibilities to the community to manage their own resources.

Result Based Management approach: Each and every action has a result associated. These results form the basis of the situation analysis and the baseline survey.

Formation and strengthening: of Community based & community Managed Organizations (CBMOs)

Working in partnership: Panchayts, KVK and NABARD

Promotion of gender equity: Strengthening gender equity with a minimum of 33% involvement of women in each and every process of the project.

Promotion of village volunteers: Development of knowledge of youth & women groups, opinion leaders and village elders for self-sustainment.

Decentralised approach: Localised decision making in Gram Sabha’s with transparent participative elections.
