JEEVIKA Rural Scientist!

With CARITAS INDIA JEEVIKA we also promote innovation and development engineering amongst the youth of deprived community to make their innovation talent sharpen. To do this we have formed youth groups in the villages and upgrade skills of youths through skill development trainings and share knowledge about various technical institutions through Village Information centers known as Soochna Dhaba.

Satlu 21, 8th pass is a member of youth group of Soond village ( Shivpuri-Madhya Pradesh) formed under JEEVIKA development initiative and through group meeting motivation and through training get trained on various electrical aspects-specially related with mobile technology ( although Satlu has interest before JEEVIKA intervention, but with JEEVIKA interest get strengthen) and now Satlu has developed tool with a mobile based technology to ‘on’ and ‘off’ a water motor pump ( used for irrigation in field). One just need to give a miss call and the pump will start and with miss call the pump wil on, this will reduce farmers effort of going and coming to farm field ( especially when there is electricity fluctuation) apart from this this would also save electricity as once sufficient water would be there, it will give a miss call and pump motor would be closed. The instrument cost around 2000-3000 and at present satlu has developed it with waste of mobile and dvd player.

Story of satlu innovation has already covered in leading news paper.
